Down Under Part 9...I Love to See the Temple

The morning we left Lake Taupo we drove first to Waikato to check out the glow worm caves. If you don't know what these are I couldn't take pictures in the cave (e'hem Bri) so look at them on Pinterest. My pictures wouldn't have done it justice anyway. So we start out by walking down into this cave. It was pretty big and open. Not the kind you have to crawl around in. As we get further down there are these tiny worms that glow in the dark and all the little webs of their food catching nets. It was neat to see. Caryn got to sing in one of the giant cave rooms. And then we took a boat ride. Well, first we waited for a boat in the dark alone for what seemed like way too long and then we took a boat ride where we saw tons and tons of glow worms. It was neat and I'm glad I was able to see them.

Next we were off to Hamilton, New Zealand to go to the temple. We got there and were able to go in. It was a pretty neat experience. It was so pretty there and we came out right around sunset. I'm so glad
we got the chance to go.
After the temple we were ready to eat and thanks to wineo Brent we had a couple places he had mentioned that we should go. We went with Danny Doolans which was a pub. The food was dang good and the atmosphere was pretty fun too. They had a live band there playing covers of some popular songs. I ate steak and eggs and had my favorite ginger beer of the whole trip there.
It was L&P Ginger Beer. Unfortunately I couldn't bring any back because it was only sold on tap...sad day. As we were leaving the band started playing the intro to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I wish we could have stayed longer that night but we still needed to make it back to Erin in Bucklands Beach that night and we were still driving on the wrong side of the rode and the wrong side of the car. And now in the dark. But we made it back to Erin safely and chatted and headed to bed. We still had two days left to fill with Auckland since we hadn't actually gone into the city part of Auckland yet.
