January Stitch Fix 2016

I hadn't done Stitch Fix for a while and then in December I got a $20 credit I decided to use and it got me hooked again. Unfortunately I don't have my December box pictures but I ended up keeping two items that I love. One is an elephant print 3/4 sleeve blouse (Ellie Printed 3/4 Sleeve Blouse) and the other is a sweater that's green, navy, and grey with stripes (Rowson Colorblock Striped Sweater).

If you haven't heard of stitch fix its a great styling service. You fill out your style profile and your sizes and for $20 a personal stylist will send you 5 items for you to try on in your home. You have 3 days to decide what you want to keep, you checkout online, and you send back what you don't keep in a prepaid bag they send with your items. If you purchase anything in the box your $20 goes towards it and if you purchase all 5 items you get a 25% discount on the whole box. I love the surprise of getting new items you don't see in stores and in my experience I have loved the quality of their clothes over items I've purchased in stores.

Anyway, on with this fix...
Brentwood Jersey Stripe Tiered Top $68

This top sounded interesting in the name.   I liked the stripes, but the tier system on this was a bit odd.  It was something that I could wear to work and I liked the long sleeves.  I ended up keeping this one.
Leighton Metal Bauble Necklace $34

I like necklaces more than any other type of jewelry I think.  I like bigger statement pieces.  I love gold so that was a win, but it was noisy which is kind of annoying.  This was the item I was most on the fence about, but I ended up keeping it.
Lebray Button Down Top $68

I had asked my stylist for a plaid shirt in this fix and they came through for me better than I could have hoped for.  I had been looking for a red plaid shirt and couldn't find anything that wasn't super thick and that fit me.  I don't normally wear plaid, but I love this one.  I'll even wear it without layering it.  It's super cute and great for winter.  For sure a keeper.
Demi Pullover Sweater $68

After my last fix where I got a sweater I loved so much I asked for a sweater again.  They once again did a great job.  I live in Idaho so it is really cold all winter.  This is something I can wear to work or just out shopping.  I like the design on it too.  It's off center a bit and just a unique design.  My stylist recommended that I layer it with my plaid top.  I haven't tried it with this sweater yet, but I have with another sweater and it was really cute so I imagine it would be with this one as well.  Kept.
Lettie Faux Leather and Knit Drape Jacket $98

This item I don't know that I asked for in any way and I'm not one to wear faux leather.  I'm usually an actual leather girl.  And at first it kinda looked like a cardigan, but once I had it on I loved it (see my smiling face?).  It's half leather and half knit.  The back is the faux leather with some on the sleeves that you can see.  Then the front and half the sleeves are the knit material.  It almost feels like sweats material.  The neatest part is the side zipper.  It's hard to see, but it zips sideways on my right side which makes the front part drapey.  Love, love, love.  It's such my style.  I love wearing it all in black for an awesome mono colored look.  Obviously I kept it.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't have kept the necklace except keeping all 5 items gave me the 25% discount.  I don't hate the necklace, but I don't love it either.  I have worn it a couple times though so I'm not sorry I have it.  This box was a for sure win for me.  My last box was so-so, but this hit it out of the park.
